Governance

Governance and accountability

Build trust into the work.

BMAAP is a community-driven archival initiative and a program of The Floating Freedom Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization. Our governance begins with responsibility to the people, stories, and materials entrusted to the project.

These documents set out how the founding committee is organized, who can serve, how materials are cared for, and the standards everyone involved agrees to follow. They are public so that contributors, applicants, and the wider community can hold us to them.
